The truck is being marketed to people who have never seen a Maverick car, or even heard of one. Considering that Ford is sold out until next year, and has stopped taking orders, I don't think the name is a hinderance.

That goes for a lot of vehicles....IIRC there’s a general shortage of new AND used right now.
Also I’ve never been too keen on buying a vehicle that hasn’t been manufactured for at least a few years. Takes a while to work all the bugs out in my experience.
