Jussie Smollett’s “unjust” sentencing is proof of the “legal vigilantism” of the “perverted” U.S. justice system where those in power can jail a man because of his skin color, according to a recent Washington Post piece by MSNBC analyst Paul Butler who argued that “sending a Black gay man to jail for lying about being attacked” sends a message to hate crime victims that they may suffer incarceration “if authorities don’t believe their stories.”

Monica Cannon-Grant, a Black Lives Matter (BLM) leader in Boston, and her husband, Clark Grant, were hit with an 18-page federal indictment for fraud and conspiracy on Tuesday.

Federal authorities allege that Cannon-Grant and Grant have defrauded a large sum of donor dollars out of over $1 million in grants and donations given to their nonprofit, Violence in Boston, which aims to help violence survivors in the city.

Cannon-Grant, a prominent BLM organizer, was arrested outside of her Beantown home Tuesday and declined to comment at the courthouse after being released on personal recognizance, meaning she'll remain free without bail but with a written promise to appear in court.

The authorities in Chicago gave him an out and told him if he apologized, they would drop it, but of course he could not stoop to that. So they took it to court and he lost.

These hoaxes are NOT harmless. There are a bunch of Christmas parade participant in Waukesha who might still be in one piece if only the hysteria was dialed down.

There was a case many years ago where some skinhead victims successfully sued a TV repair guy in California because he wrote and lectured on skinhead stuff. He was not anywhere near the incident, but he was still held responsible for putting them up to it. This principle needs to be dusted off and put to use today.

He has not been “freed”. He’s out on bond in order to have an appeal hearing.

His sentence was so short, he would have completed it before a judge had time to hear the appeal. However, there is no guarantee he will get a new trial.

Even if he gets a new trial, he could get convicted again and sentenced to MORE time in jail.

More than likely his appeal will be denied and he will return to jail. His lawyers may play stalling tactics, but it is likely now that he will serve his jail time.

He’s also destroyed his career.
