I am a big advocate of Excess Deaths as the parameter of ultimate value. It escapes the With vs Of claims. And it escapes the claims that virus “hype” kept people from hospitals — when you examine it for NYC in spring of 2020. The ED spikes coincided exactly with Covid deaths and that was before any articles had splashed over the dangers. It was just too early. The ED and Covid graphs overlaid, practically.
But seeing a surge of EDs during a timeframe of the Delta surge followed by Omicron and then declaring it’s all vax responsible is just silly.
I think Vax has now been shown defeated by the virus. It takes barely weeks to lose out to virus infection and a couple of months for deaths to begin. Ditto, largely, recovered infection. Similarly defeated by the virus.
It’s pretty hard for me to imagine the 100s of scientists developing Sputnik V, Covaxin, Covorbemax, Astrazeneca’s, Pfizer and Moderna to all look in the mirror in the morning and say Okay!!! Let’s go kill millions of people! What fun.
