No way.
Thank God they didn’t. Just about all UAW made cars are garbage or eventually the business goes belly up after all the state incentives are used up.
Some exceptions are Caterpillar, but they pulled out of the UAW by relocating their plants elsewhere,
IN short, American cars are inherently mediocre. Oh, driving a Caddy or a Lincoln might seem nice at first, but where are the cars when they hit around 80,000 miles?
My LTD lasted nearly 400K.
My Lincoln is doing just fine at 207K, thank you.
My Nissan lasted 150K.
My Dodge lasted 110K
My Audi lasted 85K.
My Toyota lasted 75K.
The only GM products I really liked were the Pontiac and Oldsmobile divisions. I didn’t drive them to death, though.
