I’m not for or against them...more aligned with “if it fits my application better” I’ll buy one. That said, my understanding is that the transformer infrastructure is a problem. If everyone has one and is charging at the same time they’d melt down. This was the conclusion of an engineering consulting company.

Most charging can be done in the wee hours when we have a large overcapacity in the electrical grid.
