I had blood pressure issues and my doctor put me on BP meds. First beta blockers but they made me feel terrible: breathing issues, light headed. One night I woke up couldn’t catch my breath and my BP spiked to 190/110. Went to the ER, they couldn’t find anything wrong aside from the BP, gave me diuretic to fix that and sent me home saying I needed something other than beta blockers. Then he put me on ACE inhibitors. They worked better with much less side effects.
I don’t like having to take pills every day so I ended up trying a low carb diet with intermittent fasting. Now my BP averages 110/70 with no medication. I lost 30lbs and feel much better overall. I had to give up bread and sweets but it’s easier and cheaper to give up carbs than to remember to take a pill every day.
Wow. Great outcome. Well done. Thanks for the info.
