"In this incredibly divided political environment, I want to focus on our community and fight against radical agendas and extreme rhetoric," says Gabi Grossbard.
Gabi Grossbard of Southfield announced he would seek the Republican Nomination to serve in the United States Congress.
Gabi is a husband, father, grandfather, and businessman. He was born & raised in Israel to parents who were American citizens. Gabi served in the Israeli Defense Forces before living in New York from 1993-1998. He would later move to the Great Lakes State in 1998.
Gabi's professional experience is extensive and is rooted in service. Not only is he a small business owner, he is a Medicare specialist working to assist the elderly with the complicated enrollment and plan selections. He previously was the owner/operator of Gabis Auto Service Center in Farmington Hills. Other experiences include but are not limited to Automotive Executive, Commercial Real Estate, and Knitwear Production.
"The political landscape is broken. In my opinion, the only way to repair it is by everyday Americans running and getting elected to office," Grossbard says.
Gabi wants to focus on healing our country, lowering inflation, and giving parents a voice in their kid's education. Gabi says this is "because 'middle class' 'blue collar' Americans should represent their community, not the political elite, special interests, or extreme ideology."
The same problems that we face now are the same ones that inspired his 2020 Congressional Run. Unfortunately, these issues have not gone away and have worsened.
Gabi's heart for service and "can-do" attitude have inspired him to throw his name in the race again. The last time he ran from scratch, now Gabi is running on experience.
Gabi Grossbard is a once-in-a-generation candidate with the heart, courage, and grit to lead our community forward. Our state is truly at a crossroads -- we can continue the failed policies that have broken our economy, hurt our seniors, and leave our infrastructure broken or we can usher in a new era of American leadership. One that puts people first, and Gabi is running to do just that.
I remember two years ago when Haley Stevens was screaming on the House floor prior to one of the covid packages being passed. Peak Karen. Hopefully the voters in her district 86 her this cycle.
The political landscape is filled with everyday Americans who ran for office on both sides of the political spectrum, got elected, and then broke it. What does he suggest as a way to repair it?
Don’t tell Kramer!
It’s a district that is contained mainly in the bad parts of formerly-nice Oakland County (Detroit suburbs — a little *too* close to Detroit), which under its new configuration for 2022 favors Democrats by about 15% which is no small number.
It’s gonna take a big ol’ “red wave” for any Republican to win here — but with 2 extremely well-funded incumbent Democrats (Stevens and Levin) dueling in the primary, the victor could emerge with sufficient damage that some Republican has at least a minor chance of an upset in November.
