A Queens immigration lawyer was killed by an irate woman who stabbed him repeatedly in the chest Monday morning after he declined to take on her case, police sources and a friend said.
Li was taken by EMS to New York Presbyterian-Booth Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The victim’s friend, lawyer Wayne Zhu, told reporters that the deadly encounter took place after Li chose not to represent the woman last week.
Zhu said police showed up that day and took the woman away, though Li urged authorities not to press charges.

Violence on Asian crime.
Is it safe to assume the perp?
“the woman” is never named, although it’s very likely the late victim and his lawyer friend knew her name.
In fact, the stabbing victim is said to have begged the police not to arrest her.
He may have been delirious or in shock from loss of blood.
Didn’t really know what he was saying.
The murderer was named: . . . “ he was knifed by 25-year-old Xiaoning Zhang.”
I must have missed that because I wasn’t sure if that name was for a man or a woman.
I was glad to help.
“Li was taken by EMS to New York Presbyterian-Booth Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead” of COVID after being stabbed 6 times.
Fixed it.
Did he give her a referral?

I thought they eere called Barristers?
This was not “The Queens Lawyer” - This murder took place in Queens NY. Headlines really do lack recently.

Immigration lawyers = human traffickers.
The first incident, with the police called, was a week earlier.
