"Look at California where they are over $0.40 per Kwh and have rolling blackout when demand is too high."
I'm in 100% agreement with you. The Dims are idiots, especially with their "green" energy ideas. That's why I bought a large solar system for my house to at least partially remove my budget from experiencing the effects of Dim policies and them trying to force us to tithe to their Greta Gaia god. In the past year I provided 55% of all the electricity I consumed in my all-electric house. My wife and I are thinking about replacing one of our gas cars with an EV to give us a hedge against sky-high gasoline prices too.
Solar is not more efficient than natural gas or oil, nor is it as dependable as electricity produced from fossil fuels. But one thing solar has that other power sources don't have: I produce it, therefore I control it. Not the Dims who are scared of cow farts and keep jacking up energy costs. The cost for my solar system will pay for itself in the 10th or 11th year (and that's assuming only a reasonable 3% inflation rate of power rates). If I get an EV and drive it ~200 miles per week, and upgrade my solar system like I'm thinking I would to produce about 90% of all the power we consume (including the EV), it'll all pay for itself on about the 12th year (again assuming only 3% inflation rate of gas prices).
Yup.
“Electric rates will increase for sure with EV’s on the road in a few years. Then they will charge higher rates for peak times of charging like they are doing in my state for air-conditioning. YOU pay double for having air on during prime time during the day. After 7pm you don’t get charged the high rate. People will be charging cars over night, yep, prime time rate for sure.”
But.. At least with an electric car.. You can just drive down the road and look at all the charging stations and find the best Kw rate, right?
It’s not like there is a monopoly on electric power generation or anything....
It is going to get very interesting when the cost of “filling up” your electric car will make them long for “good old days” of $4/ gallon gas.
I haven’t bought a house here yet because I work for banks and was commuting to the downtown area for work each day. I know several single women in this large apartment complex who almost all or all voted for Biden because Orange Man Bad and mean tweets or something.
Now the apartment complex raised rents anywhere from 25%-40% and they all vowed they would leave rather than renew. They’ve been shocked to discover its not just here, its everywhere. Rents and house prices have skyrocketed. So has gas. So have groceries. They can’t find several of the things they want to buy any more.
They’re hurting but none of them are ready to admit how badly they screwed up. When I take my dog to the dog park and they’re around I just casually observe that gosh, the rents weren’t that high a year ago. Gosh, things weren’t out of stock a year ago. Gosh, gas and groceries weren’t so expensive a year ago.......
They would vote the same anyway probably.
But but but I voted for free gas, and college… and puppies!
Wha wha wha
Friend of mine towing a camper said he just filled up diesel, 33 gallons 177 dollars.. eastern Tennessee..
Brilliant!
Sounds like your typical Demonrat that didn’t read the fine print before he voted for the Groper and the Hooker
Liberals and their dramatic temper tantrums.
Does this screeching fairy not know that gas prices were soaring well before Putin invaded Ukraine?
Does this shrill snowflake not know that we were pretty much energy independent during Trump’s administration and his boy Biden canceled the Keystone Pipeline about an hour after being installed in office?
Satire. It is meant as a joke. Too many people think it's real.
This explains California...
You're more of an optimist than I am. :^)
Brutal.
ROFL
I see how you alliterated there...
They're calling this dude "soyJack" on Twitter, with BOATLOADS of hilarious memes.
see my post #56
LOL at #56! 😂 (How did you do that?)
BTW, wyokostur made the hilarious mask comment. I just ROFLd it. I tried to italicize his comment and got interrupted. I don’t want to take credit. 😁
Well written. “Elections have consequences. “
No. The democrats needed only 7 counties (seven democrat cities) in five states.
Philly. Pittsburgh. Atlanta. Phoenix. Las Vegas. Detroit. Minneapolis.
