I think Dick Giordano was in his cups on that cover. In “Flashing Wheels”, Iris, the Flash’s hot wife, was skating against KK and that cover depicts a woman looking a lot closer to Iris than the alien! lol

What's worse, Iris had pulled a George Plimpton and joined the opposing team and Kate Krasher slugged Iris, revealing the aliens true form to her as she blacked out.

Hint to aliens: don't make your plans to annihilate the earth needlessly complicated. You don't have to use the Central City roller rink to make your device work, I'm sure. Use a centrifuge instead of local skaters.

Hint to Flash: you got lucky, because you were kind of in over your head. Next time, get help from Superman and Green Lantern so it is not a close call. Metropolis and Coast City would be destroyed, too.
