Crypto is based on blockchain technology. Yes, I know. I never said anything to the contrary. What were hacked were exchanges, not crypto currency itself. I acknowledge some of the exchanges especially in the early years of Crypto needed to beef up their security. Then again, hackers steal fiat currency from banks and companies all the time too.
I'm perfectly aware that crypto currencies can be used for authoritarian purposes. That's exactly what CBDC's are. That however is very different - diametrically opposed actually - to most crypto currencies and privacy coins especially.

What was it people lost? Did they lose an exchange or did they lose Crypto?
