Can I trust the press? The cops? The military?
At a Tony Robbins seminar I attended many years ago, a lady in the audience told Tony she had trust issues, she couldn’t trust anyone. This, of course, kept her from ever feeling content or happy. Mr. Robbins responded that the woman was fully capable of trusting, she simply needed to work on growing that capacity.
“Every time you drive,” Tony told her, “You trust that complete strangers driving in the opposite direction won’t cross the center line and kill you.” Mr. Robbins further elaborated on this theme, and by the time he finished, the woman in question wore a smile and allowed that, in time, she was fully capable of becoming a trusting and happy person. My thought at the time was, thank God, there’s lots of people and institutions I trust and believe in.
Fast forward to today, and I now ask myself, almost hourly, whom can I trust?
Certainly not the media. Regarding the vast majority of talking heads I see on TV or in videos, if their lips are moving, they’re lying---or misdirecting, mischaracterizing, or simply omitting things that actually happened. After watching a CNN hack proclaiming a BLM riot was mostly peaceful as a building burned brightly in the background, I now assume everything the mainstream media tells me is a lie until proven otherwise. See scam, Russia Collusion.
I was raised Catholic, and while I still believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ, I’ve no use for the Catholic Church. Worldwide, the Church has spent almost four billion dollars compensating or muzzling victims of pedophile priests. Meanwhile, our socialist Pope spends his time decrying capitalism, guns and walls, all while enjoying the finest food, drink, and armed security behind the high walls of the

Marxism is evil and evil corrupts truth. We thought we had won the war against communism, but communism was just shifting tactics.
Nice job how he rounds up a lot of the usual suspects in one tidy column.
I trust in Messer’s Smith and Wesson.
He’s absolutely right - You can trust nothing here on earth.
There is only ONE in whom we CAN trust.
Our Creator. He keeps His promises.

It is time to stop using the left’s preferred terminology. The MSM is not mainstream. We should call it the propaganda media. The above is an excellent example to teach the meaning of the word propaganda.
A friend prevailed upon me to read a Tony Robbins book a couple of months ago.
It was riddled with wild inaccuracies of fact. Like he was making up his own history and science as he went along, to make sure it fit his commercial promotions. He’s a con man. Wildly successful, which is a disappointing commentary on the reading public. Academics and professionals whose names he used so prominently cannot have read what they were endorsing, or were induced not to care.
Friend is still a friend, which says a lot for her after I fisked the book so thoroughly.
Needless to say the book will be kept on file for reference the next time somebody tries to gush at me over his trash.
Yes, he does.
You can trust me. But you’d better verify!
Trust God, and be wary of herds being driven by secular voices.
Our society has foresaken God. Our society does not value honor nor do the majority of our leaders aspire to be virtuous. There are no constants and no standards. Without standards, personal responsibility, and accountability applied to all equally there can be no trust.

I use a fellow freeper’s term now.
Mao Stream Media.

Trust is built over time by experience.
Trust nothing you hear or read.
Only trust about maybe, one third of what you see.
The media has always been mainly leftist.
In the past it was generally honest unless the leftist cause was in big trouble.
Nowadays it will readily lie on a regular basis.
I consider all motivational speakers as con-men. Especially the ones who ask for money for their “wisdom”.
Joel Osteen is one of the worst offenders (or best if you prefer).
Who can forget Jimmy Swaggart, or Jim and Tammy Fay Bakker?
Nothing but four-flushers and hornswogglers.
Whom can I trust???? Either who can I trust or IN whom can I trust. If you want to be a journalist get the grammar right at least in the headline!
