We saw them on stage in Claremont Ca twice. She was great! He introduced her as his baby sister even though she was older. RIP beautiful talented lady!
That is a heartwarming story of staying close to family as one grows into fame. Often, it is not that way with pro level musicians. Either of the late Everly Brothers; Phil or Don could have told you how very different it could be.

Years ago, I found out that the piano player was Willie’s sister. Since then, I listen for the piano parts of their music. She was very talented.
I’m guessing she died of issues relating to secondhand smoke.
I met Willie when I was doing physical therapy around 1986. He was in town for a show and went there for a workout. The owner said to leave him alone while he’s working out, he’ll talk to us afterward. He did, seemed like a nice guy.
