A few days ago when ASB Military News was deplatformed, and moved to Telegram, I went to Telegram, and subscribed to their new site.
Their notifications started popping up on my screen every two minutes, even when I was logged out of Telegram. Had to unsubscribe, unfollow, and almost was ready to uninstall Telegram to stop the annoying pings.
