I loathe those too! Used to be able to turn down or mute them, but not always now. And usually between commercials blaring loud obnoxious music that I hate as well

Its getting harder to get away from now. The problem for me, the pumps with the cheapest gas & that is closest to my house has those maniacal forms of “Talkie Toaster (See Red Dwarf for reference!)”.
