A lifelong Floridian, I have seen many dozens of rocket launches from the Cape — and one UFO that was definitely not a rocket launch, plane, balloon, or orbiting satellite. A light floating high across a clear nighttime sky against the prevailing wind, I and the other witnesses had no idea what it was.
They would always report the oddball "What was that in the sky" stories every freakin' time. We would get hysterical calls at the base from people who claimed the universe was ripping apart or wormholes were opening up.
I believe that a certain percentage of UFO sightings are indeed unexplained. I have also become accustomed to the scientifically challenged claiming that the visuals they saw were just like in the movies before the aliens attacked.
That happened on a hotel beach on Cape Cod one foggy summer night.
It was me with 3 green glow sticks tied to the bottom of my kite.
everybody at breakfast the next morning was talking about the UFO they saw...
