No. You are wrong.

Russia didn't default on their sovereign debt in 1998.

They defaulted on their domestic debt in 1998.

The last time Russia defaulted on their sovereign debt was after the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917.

KGB Putin will make history again on Wednesday.
