Proteins on the host MHC-2 comlex molecule attract cytoxic T-cells that release destructive molecules that destroys the host cell.

Given that the cell is one of the body's own, how is training T-cells to attack and destroy it different that an autoimmune disorder?
Granted the T-cells are only, only, only supposed to attack the COVID surface proteins, and completely ignore the associated "normal" cell surface proteins, but are you absolutely certain that there won't be some guilt by association further down the road?
Other that that I'm somewhat reassured that there actually is an off switch. Thanks!

The ribosome translation is a one shot process in the antigen-presenting cells. It is like feeding a tickertape into a stocker ticker machine. The output, which is an abbreviated form of the Spike Protein, is like the hub cap for the whole car—not the entire virus. That protein is quickly broken down by the cell and never enters the blood stream or other cells. Instead, the protein pieces are presented on the surface of antigen-presenting cells bound to the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II proteins. It is there that the MHC triggers immune cells to produce antibodies programmed to attack Spike Proteins where ever they exist.

What may be causing reactions to the mRNA vaccine is the lipid nanoparticle that encloses the RNA messenger. It uses a widely used ingredient, polyethelene glycol (PEG). The shell is composed of synthetic lipids and cholestorol, along with PEG to stabilize the mRNA cargo against degradation. PEG also may play a role as an immune stimulant. The research is ongoing.
