I think that a sign of a healthy society is its willingness to execute its monsters.

Many times I’ve posted on this forum that in any truly civilized society these monsters would be tried, convicted, sentenced to death, and executed within weeks of their apprehension. And testimony concerning “motive” would be inadmissible as exculpatory evidence.
