Got charged by a mama moose, didn’t see her and the little one in the willows until it was too late. Ground was bouncing under my feet. She covered about 50 feet while I covered 5, peeled off and went back to newborn. I got across the river and away.
Whew...must have been scary! As this article points out, you can wake up and not know you are going to be dead by the end of the day.
