At the beginning of this war, I felt Russia would eventually conquer the whole country but a Ukrainian insurgency could go on for years and drive the Russians out.
Now, I’m thinking they can’t conquer the whole country. If the fight in the eastern half of the country has been tough, just wait until they try to take western Ukraine.
Not taking the whole country means an insurgency is even more potent. Western Ukraine can continue to receive arms over the border from NATO, provide a safe haven, hospital care, etc.
I really think Little Pukin is F*ed. Russia will eventually lose this war.
Russia has been somewhat successful in southeastern Ukraine. This is because the Russian Navy which controls the Black Sea has been able to land troops and supplies without much harassment. If somehow the Ukrainians obtained sophisticated stealthy drones armed with anti ship missiles, the Russian presence there would be far less tenable.
Yup. I was in Lviv a few years ago. They would have eaten Putin's soldiers alive even then if they could.
The Russians apparently acknowledged hitting the maternity hospital yesterday. That suggests to me that they may be looking for a face saving reason to call a halt.

I really hope you are right, but I don’t put it past Putin to use Chemical, Biological and even Nuclear weapons to achieve his goals.
