You know, after reading some of the replies on this thread, I am honestly surprised.
I actually went and looked up the book and it seems to be something similar to a Dr. Suess book in nature. While I didn’t see all of it, what I did see didn’t have anything that I would find suggestive or objectionable.
And, according to the article, the guy has two children who are autistic and one that has what I assume is Bipolar Disorder (BPD?) who he is now trying to feed without a job. I don’t know the guy nor do I think that the article presents the whole story either. But, I think I would like to know a little more about what his history is and what really happened before I condemn him as a gay pedophile in a simple knee-jerk reaction.
Before swallowing a media story hook, line, and sinker, you might try actually doing a little research or is that too much to ask?

I read the reviews on amazon on that book. If anything he should have used better judgement.
BTW a lot of people chose to adopt special needs or otherwise troubled kids just to molest them. If they are nonverbal, they can’t tell. If they are “troubled” then lawyers will say “they are troubled you can’t believe them”

Seems to me that a book about butt cracks would have indeed been hilarious and popular to the typical 7-8 year old boy.
