Well we have a wonderful super wal-mart here and everybody goes there. Thankfully our city accepts people at all levels of the economic ladder. We also have an Aldies which people love.

I never shopped Wal- mart until moving here.

“..Well, we have a wonderful super Wal-Mart here...”

I doubt you’d be doing much shopping in the ones in south Louisiana...LOL.
About 5 years ago, I was arrested in one in Lake Charles, LA.
My wife sent me there with a grocery list and was loading the checkout belt with groceries when two black guys came up behind me with a couple of cases of beer. They were already drunk as skunks, and it was only 10:30am on a Tuesday morning. They were loudly cussing everybody, including me, I paid em no attention and just kept loading the groceries on the belt as if they weren’t there.
Finally, one of em was really yelling and MFing me pretty hard, and I made the mistake of stopping and turning around. He said, “WTF you lookin’ at, MFer?” I looked him all over, top to bottom, side to side, and said: “Well, I’m not sure what I’m looking at, but it sure as hell ain’t much.” He took a big wide swing at me, missed and stumbled forward right smack dab into my hard uppercut to his face. He went down bleeding like a ton of bricks...out like a light. The other one must have seen the butt of my pistol in my pocket and started screaming at the top of his lungs: “Gun! Gun! He’s gotta gun!”
I immediately put my hands up in the air as the manager, a bunch of associates and a sheriff’s deputy rushed over. The deputy asked me if I was armed. I said; “Yes sir. 9mm in the left front pocket and there’s one in the tube.” He immediately cuffed me and said: “You’d better have a permit for that.”. I said, “Yes Sir. Right rear pocket has my wallet in it. It’s in there.” He took my gun, wallet, car keys, pocketknife, cell phone, etc., and then escorted me out, cuffed, to the backseat of his cruiser. By then, there were about 3-4 more cruisers showing up with lights flashing. I sat in the back of that cruiser for almost 45 minutes. Finally, they drag the two drunks out, cuffed, one pretty bloodied and off they went with em. He finally came back out, helped me out of the cruiser, un-cuffed me, gave me back all my stuff and said I was free to go, but suggested I leave the area asap. I never went back in for the groceries and never set foot in that Walmart again for over 3 years.
I’ll only go in with my wife, and it’s only to provide protection for her. To say that I’m not a fan of Wal-Mart would be an understatement.
