Polling, schmolling. When you have ballot harvesting and creation it really doesn’t matter, does it?

I’m not saying we should let our guard down at all - we shouldn’t.

But I really doubt they will get a second bite at the apple in 2024.

What happened in 2020 was high treason - engineered by a fairly small number of perpetrators - and then facilitated and covered up by a huge number of unwitting or after-the-fact accomplices who shared a desire to be rid of Trump and his MAGA movement.

But what these accomplices and apologists did unwittingly, or after-the-fact, was akin to helping your brother dispose of a dead body. You might be convinced to do it once when you can claim plausible deniability - but never again.

There will be cheating and illegal ballot harvesting, I’m sure.

But I doubt it will be anywhere near as brazen or extensive as 2020. Too many tens of millions of pissed off MAGA people will be watching, and too many tens of millions of others will be wary - they may hate Trump - but not enough to knowingly commit high treason.

For example, let’s say you were one of the 500 mules that got paid to drive around Atlanta and deposit large bags of ballots in drop boxes in the wee hours after the election. Did you know you were doing something illegal - possibly treasonous?

Or the poll workers who were caught on video entering reams of ballots into the system more than once? Or the adjudicators who mass adjudicated ballots with the push of a button? Or the poll workers who illegally sent Republican poll workers home or illegally prevented them from observing the count.

I’m sure that as these crimes have come to light, all of these people have been assured they will be given legal protection, and that they can successfully use the “just following orders” defense.

But what percentage of them will risk doing it a second time, under significantly more scrutiny? Some certainly, but I think 2020 level cheating was a one shot deal.
