Sending weapons is not the same as being in the war. This is just bullythug BS to keep any help out while the murderer commits his grisly crimes.
The Soviet Union sent fighters, SAMs, Radars, Kalashnikovs, trucks, tanks you name it to North Vietnam the entire time we fought there and Johnson even stopped bombing Haiphong so he wouldn’t accidentally hit Soviet ships.
This is cowardly crap. Let the Ukes have the airplanes. They’ll probably get knocked down but not before causing some serious hurt. Anything to throw a wrench in the Russian War machine.

In 2011 Putin ordered that Polish President Kaczynski's military jet be shot down near Smolensk in Russia. Kaczynski and other Polish dignitaries where there to honor Polish victims of the Katyn massacre in WWII. Eleven years later neither the wreckage of that military jet, nor its black boxes, have ever been returned to Poland since they prove the crime and an act of war against a NATO member. Poland is quite right to be cautious of NATO's resolve, and it well remembers how well Britain and France honored their commitments to Poland in 1939, and after.
