So.... Should Russia’s other neighbors invade Russia to get at Russia’s bioweapons labs? Are Putin and Xi the only ones allowed bioweapons? Should Canada invade us?
Also, are the biological research facilities that “could” be used for this purpose... Or was their only purpose the production of bioweapons?
I ask because I live relatively close to the UofM medical research facilities, the Mayo Clinic, Medtronic, etc...

The reigning science when I was kid (We are mid 60’s) is that it did not, that science has changed, along with chicken pox and other viruses. Never in my 60s years has any of my dogs, cats or the kids’ hamsters, bunnies or birds ever got sick when our family suffered a bout of the flu. From personal experience to education I still find truth there vs the new, improved science. But honestly who knows anymore.

I don’t know of any time after we figured out what viruses are that we didn’t know they jumped species. I mean syphilis. We know exactly where it came from. Same with anthrax.
Most diseases don’t jump. But jumping does happen. Flus do it a lot because of how the flu works, it’s basically a bunch of related fast mutating illnesses that hit most mammals. Has always happened. Will always happen. And at no point have we not comprehended that. WE know. There’s no mystery here. Zoonosis and anthroponosis are not new concepts, and are very well understood and documented.
