Under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, eligible borrowers were promised that their student loan debt would be canceled after they pay on the debt over the course of 10 years.

The USA, China, Russia are all converging on one model of statist/fascist, central-planning, controlled-capitalist, social media / social control method of government. All the tools and appearances are similar - it will only be a matter of degrees of difference.

No, if I understand it right.

There was a government program that promised students if they worked in certain low income areas. Not government workers per se, but I think Teachers may have been the most affected. That their loans would be cancelled after 10 years.

But the government program was really screwed up, and few of the people who were admitted actually had their loans forgiven. Usually they were rejected on minor technicalities.

Basically the government screwed these people, because the loan applicants kept their end of the bargain, and government reneged on their end.
