A Florida special needs teacher who suffered serious injuries when she was attacked by a five-year-old, had been hospitalized by the same child several time before, her teacher's union claimed,
Last week Trishia Meadows, 43, a teacher at Pines Lakes Elementary in Pembroke Pines, needed to be stretchered out of her classroom after allegedly being attacked by the five-year-old special needs student.
According to a police report, the incident began when the troublesome child and a four-year-old student were throwing objects and flipping chairs in a pre-K classroom.
Meadows, whos is mom to a young daughter, took the rowdy five-year-old into a 'cool down' room, where she was attacked.
Ana Fusco, President of Broward Teachers Union, told WSVN.com that the child used all his strength to take Meadows down, injuring her so severely she will likely need surgery.
Meadows contacted authorities and when they found her she was breathing but unresponsive.
The teacher of 13 years was taken to a local hospital on a stretcher where she remains hospitalized.
Fusco says that Meadows' injuries from the attack were so severe that she had to be intubated.
Now Fusco is demanding answers from the school after claiming that Meadows has been attacked on three separate occasions by the same student.

My sentence is very simple yet you will not educate yourself on the benefits to all children regarding it.
I’d wager that Trishia Meadows at Pines Lakes Elementary in Pembroke Pines, FL would question the benefits of “inclusion.”
PS. Going through life telling people to “get educated” is not a way to make friends or endear yourself to other. If you want to make your case convincingly, then spell it out. Don’t demand that others “get educated.”

Sounds like a little monster to me. Poor lady is trying to do good in the world and she gets this.
WADR, inclusion is one of those leftist buzzwords intended to show that those of us who want things done RIGHT are monsters. Mainstreaming the mentally ill does no good for them or for the normal kids.
Cure their illnesses first, then mainstream them.
Kids are stronger than you would think. I already posted this once but I had about a 3-4 year old Amish kid wrap his arms around my leg in a store and bite me on the thigh. I could not pry that kid off me. I was just pushing his forehead back to stop the biting but I could not get him off me. The mother must let him do it til I yelled at her that I was going to throw him through a window. It was quite unnerving.

You are one twisted freak. You like to put words in peoples’ mouths. You won’t even entertain viewpoints different from yours. Treating every person with respect is different from putting violent, sick, disruptive psychopaths in the classroom with normal kids.
Did you raise a retarded child with an inability to control extreme and sometimes violent outbursts that tore a family apart? That’s where I grew up. My parents were smart enough to never even think about putting her in a normal school environment.

When I was in school it was called the “short bus” but those kind of kids never went to school with us. They had their own school.
Every school had a “special ed” class but those were mostly learning disabled kids, the ones who were slow learners or dyslexic, maybe hyper active but not mentally retarded children.
Not till I was in college and they said they would be “mainstreaming” these kids did all this start to happen. I knew then and said it would be a nightmare.
What is worse and I’m glad you brought up that you are bus driver is a lot of trouble has happened on these buses with these types of kids. They (some parents) want to blame the bus driver but my feeling is the driver is there to drive the freaking bus not manage retarded children. He has to keep is eyes on the road and arrive alive. If they need to hire an aid then hire an aid but don’t blame the driver.

I so agree with you. Special needs or no special needs if these kids can’t behave they have no right to be in school period. Being disabled in some way does not give them the right to take an education away from the rest of the children in the classroom. It certainly should never be an excuse for bad behavior.
They call it “mainstreaming” but in reality these “special needs” kids are not held to the same standard has other kids in the class room so really why are they mainstreamed?
If they are not punished the same. If as in some instances they are not graded the same for school work then what is the point? By grading I mean I know a kid who has downs syndrome who, well he did’t really graduate from High school at 21 he just got an certificate saying he completed. He can’t talk, he can’t write his name. He can’t say the alphabet, do math, you get the point. His mom complained when he got an F in music and made the teacher change his grade to a D. She asked “How do you fail Music?” I didn’t want to tell her how her son failed music it would only upset her. In reality having him in school all those years was a waste of money and resources.
Removing ALL special needs children is exclusion. Painting all special needs children as violent is rhetoric to make you feel better. This is not the 60’s, segregation was ruled unconstitutional.

Their baby mamas encourage it, so they get the SSSI “crazy money,” and I bet the schools get extra Fed money for the “special needs” students.
