This is a resource document that describes the Russian Political Mindset.
It is a dry, and kind of boring read. But its informative as a reference.
CIA rolled this story out in Washington yesterday.
In similar fashion, the parties responsible for World War Two thought they knew what the future would look like. None of them did.
And today? We've got lots of folks running around, wanting the US to take military action against Russia, because they think they know how Russia will respond...
NATO outspends Russia 20-1. They cannot keep up conventionally. They will counter NATO’s overwhelming conventional advantage on the cheap. They will do it the way Reagan did, by deploying a whole new class of short and intermediate range nuclear missile systems, eyeball to eyeball, with NATO Ukrainian forces. This will be one of the dynamics of the new generational arms race we are committing our children to.
There are some massive gaps in this analysis.
The most important one is that there is no discussion of the Russian capability to destroy US carriers and other ships.
No discussion.
Those ships are the “tip of the spear” of US military power around the world, and they are sitting ducks to Russian missiles—conventional munitions is all it takes if their offensive capability exceeds our defensive one.
This used to be called, before the statement was racially shunned, a Mexican standoff.
Defined as a confrontation in which no strategy exists that allows any party to achieve victory. Any party initiating aggression might trigger its own demise. At the same time, the parties are unable to extricate themselves from the situation without suffering a loss.
In other words, politics for the libs as usual. Only this time on a far bigger scale than they can handle. So they sent heals up over to prove it and find someone to throw under the bus as the place gets lit up.
