Not sure if you've ever been there, but Russians really know how to screw up their food, IMHO.

Back in the USSR days I went to Leningrad and I think I lost about 15 pounds in 5 days. "Chicken Soup" in (at least Soviet) Russia means the entire chicken...beaks and all. Ugh that food was nasty.

83% (IIRC) of Russian McDonald’s stores are owned by by McDonald’s.

McDonald’s did say they would keep their employees on a payroll. Not sure if that includes the franchise owned.

Their supplies are local. Also Russia is planning nationalization of the assets of companies moved out, so it is likely to open as exactly the same but under another brand.
