I was sort of forced into it, I live in a neighborhood with a HOA, I didn’t want to fight them, so whenever I want to operate, I setup in driveway and get on the air.
Depending on the conditions I can get Europe on occasion, but routinely get up and down the eastern seaboard and into the Caribbean, I live in NE Florida, so I’m good with that, especially without a more elaborate antenna.

Lived in an HOA for 5 years. Had an HF antenna almost the whole time. An insulated-wire dipole along the peak of the roof, with the coax coming in through the roof vent. Worked many foreign countries with it. Neighbors never knew. I told them when I was moving out. They were surprised.
I am very lucky in how my antennas are configured: the “V” slopes from East to West and they sit above a layer of marine clay. On 20 meters with 100 Watts, I can boom into Europe from Spain to Scandinavia and the Middle East, and from Nova Scotia to Brazil and as far west as Texas.
