Coffee has much more than 2-4 mg caffeine per liter. NoDoz pills are 200 mg each - which are not 50- liters coffee equivalent. Also, the article mixes oz and grams, making it hard to check.

Strange that forever I have read the average cup of coffee has 100 mg of caffeine. But according to this stupid piece a full liter has 2 - 4mg of caffeine! I call the whole article into question with such sloppy reporting.

As I never developed the habit of drinking coffee, when I was still working I used Vivarin for a lift when I worked alternate or split shifts and when I had to participate on conference calls with client representatives all over the world. I have been retired eight years now and have a small medicine bottle I haven't touched since then. I just looked at it and it does indicate that one 200mg tablet is equal to two cups of coffee.

An 8-ounce cup of coffee contains about 80 to 100 milligrams of caffeine.
