im unfamiliar with the Starvis chip

in my video education ive been aware of CCDs and CMOS sensors

but im probably behind the times now

The low light Sony chips like the Starvis are becoming common in good IP security cameras these days. These kind of cameras get an IP address and can be remote operated over the internet. This one will even stream to Youtube directly.

It can see stars, sort of...

I have another of these cameras at my house, and was able capture the Orion Nebula disappearing behind the hill at our place.
