My memory of the Carter years was that private sector unions demanded and got more frequent raises, and non-union workers got to find out in a hurry how valuable they are—they would have to threaten to leave if they were not given more frequent raises—sometimes the tactic worked, sometimes it did not.

Funny how the truth comes out. To the poster who said once a year, bookmark this entire thread. I am so sick of folks not listening to me.
