I've always said that if there was ever a SHTF scenario, one weapon I would have in my possession would be a pellet rifle. They're quiet and you can easily stock up with 5,000 pellets for a hundred bucks.
And PCP's are deadly accurate too. With a suppressor on mine, I use it to shoot the starlings and sparrows under my bird feeder.
Just got a suppressor the other day for my air rifles- makes a huge difference. If I were gonna depend on pellet rifle for survival I think I’d go with .30 cal and a .45 for large game if food became scarce- plenty of power to take deer and wild pigs.
I bought an air venturi avenger .22 and wow is it accurate. I shoot about 80 yards, and it is very accurate if the wind isn’t blowing too hard. I get a out 110 shots on a fill which is great. My seneca .25 gets only about 40
