What I wanted to highlight in this post was Putin starts out on the ropes. He has no equipment left, he has no food for his troops, and his troops are already in poor morale. Just the slightest help from the west could change the outcome of the war, but everyone is afraid of a nuclear escalation.
All I'm saying is 5 years from now we will be directly affected by the Soviet Union's revival. You have to know that Trump will NOT let the chance to embarrass Biden will pass. Trump is not afraid of threats from bullies and will do what is called for to win.
I understand what you are saying, but there is little doubt in my mind that the Russians would resort to tactical nuclear weapons if need be.
Also there is a lot of talk about Putin as though he is a singular entity pressing this war rather than Russia in general, and I am not sure about that. We had to kill a lot of Germans to get to Hitler (or the Russians did) and we would have to kill a lot more Russians to get to Putin.
I don’t see it. I don’t see how we topple Putin by intervening if that is the goal. And I don’t see how Ukraine lasts with out intervention.
