Instead they are targeting attacks against the Ukraine “military”. Which is more like a national guard than a real military.

In addition Russia is not destroying the power, water, communications, utilities, etc…. . Probably because Russia does not want to spend billions rebuilding Ukraine if they take the entire country?

Read that Ukraine gave everyone weapons to fight the Russians. Unfortunately, some criminals used it to rob and there are paybacks to people they were not happy with. So some of the rifle exchanges we were hearing in the cities were not Russian forces. Instead it was Ukraine people shooting at each other for various reasons. Mainly criminals taking things.

I think we see here why Russia is taking so many loses. They are telling their grunts not to expect a real army. They send their disorganized column into a town and are surprised when it gets wiped out.
