So what is the gathering Wehrmacht-like threat Russia wants us to believe poses an imminent danger to its borders now?

“NATO enjoys considerable fundamental long-term advantages in terms of aggregate national power that would be relevant in a protracted conflict and should allow it to better deter Russia in the future, but NATO is not maximizing its inherent advan- tages. The Alliance’s combined economic strength in 2016 (measured in U.S. dollars) was about 31 times that of Russia’s. In 2015 (a historically strong year for Russian defense spending) NATO outspent Russia by approximately $895 billion to $52 billion on military forces (NATO, 2017b; U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency, 2017). The aggregate military personnel balance strongly favors NATO as well.”

From the Rand Corporation. 895 to 52, what do you think NATO forces have been buying? The Poles bought 350 M-1 main battle tanks last week. Imagine the Russians giving a damn about that? You, I hope, are joking comparing NATO’s force projection capability to that of the Wehrmacht in 1941. With NATO’s unquestioned huge advantage in electronic warfare, Russia would be blind, day one of any attack. After brutalizing Iraq and Afghanistan for 20 years to make the ME profitable for Raytheon, you’re ready to risk nuclear war to make Ukraine safe for the DS/Dem oligarchs in DC and Raytheon.
