Most Southerners of both races are most dismayed by what is going on. We had made so much progress and now it is being thrown away by idiots on both sides. We still get along fairly well and decent people seem to be going out of their way to mind their manners and treat each other respectfully.

My Grandmother was a horrible racist, would leave a grocery store if the wrong type of people were in there.
My parents really weren’t.
My son grew up in a very mixed neighborhood of very respectable people of all races.
He didn’t even see color, when he met a classmate who was being raised by his white grandparents (evident to me what the situation was), he said to me that XXX classmate definitely didn’t get his height from his parents. Two short, old white people at parents night with a very tall black boy.
That was colorblind. I think that used to be the goal. But obviously that was all a lie, just like women’s rights. It was never really about equality.
Both the race card and the female card were always about getting the upper hand.
