Anti-capitalism is flooding TikTok as young people question a life that prioritizes productivity over well-being
In a TikTok video with 1.8 million views, a user who goes by the name Rama beams at the camera.
"Like many young adults, I used to want an enjoyable and meaningful life," Rama says with a smile, "that is, until I discovered capitalism.
"Now, I live in a society where my productivity matters more than my well-being, and so I'm just depressed and anxious all the time. I'm smiling, but I'm deeply wounded. I work three jobs, and I still feel like I'm not doing enough."
Anti-capitalism is taking over TikTok as users like Rama denounce America's glorification of the rat race. The pandemic prompted many American workers to rethink their life's purpose, and the youngest among them are questioning a life that endlessly pursues the next accomplishment.

All young people question that, or most or many.
Young people don’t know much.
“Trump should have banned Tik Tok when he had the chance, now the Chicoms are using it as a propaganda tool. “
He did.
Biden unbanned it.
Productivity IS well being.
We’re turning into a society of stupid snowflakes like in Demolition Man. Where we all have to validate each other’s joy joy feelings.
if you lived in a communist society, you would either be dead, or living in a slum and standing in line for your partial loaf of bread daily allowance!
They feel their well being with there iPhones...

Ah, yes. The long run cost of Participation Trophies and Snowflake education. Perhaps they should get out of their parents basement, knuckle down, and realize that people don't really care how you feel. If capitalism doesn't make you happy, move to Venezuela.

Give any youngsters who praise communism or socialism a one way ticket to any Marxist nation of their choosing and make them live there for one full year with zero luxuries whatsoever. Then we’ll see if they’re still singing the praises of Marxism.
They don’t know the world. They don’t know our people on welfare live better than some millionaires in some countries.
well fine- then they can all live naked in carboard boxes which they make from scratch themselves out of tree pulp they harvest themselves, and chemicals they create themselves, and sit and brood all day long about capitalism all they like-
If you’re concerned about your well-being, wait till you live under socialism.
I had to Uber for a cardiologist appointment. Was not ok to drive due to wires.
Uber driver picks me up. He's polite but busy on his display and phone. He makes several deals to drop off products at nail and beauty salons. I ask and he runs a business at the same time he does Uber. He delivers from his warehouse the next day the items ordered this day. He loads his trunk at night and collects payment on his tablet as he selects Uber riders that coordinate with his customer locations. His deliveries costs are profits, not expense.
His wife does the same thing with wigs, nails, and such with the black women hair shops. She makes about $50 on each wig and more on extensions hair. The sales area is Memphis which is 83% black.
The guy was 30 years old, tops. He and his wife bought a multi million dollar home out in Germantown. His trading company purchased the house and he rents it to himself.
The human experience is not a lazy one despite the claims to the contrary.
