I use my extra fabric for quilts, provided that it’s cottons. I learned the hard way not to include flannel. It just doesn’t last and the on quilt I made with it, all the flannel pieces ripped out and ruined the quilt.

There were far too many to replace, so I just ended up tossing it, much as I hated to do that.

Good tip I will remember.

A friend likes to use a piece of flannel as her “stuffing “. I like thinner quilts so I kept that in mind.

I have one scrap bag with smaller pieces for quilts and one with larger pieces for dresses!

Put I am not a micro quilter. If you are piece of fabric less than say 5” x 5” you are going to the trash…
