Russia has been invaded and nearly destroyed from Europe several times in the past few centuries. Rich fields of grain, but flat and nearly indefensible, are a tempting target. Now, add gas and oil.

The last time, 1941-43, the critical invasion route came via Poland, then through Ukraine, going for the Caspian oil. Are you brain damaged? Retarded?

Would it be fine with you if, in a few years during a very weak period in the USA, a rich and powerful Communist China installed puppet regimes in Canada and Mexico, and "was invited" to put Chinese soldiers, tanks and missiles along our northern and southern border, "purely for defensive" (LOL) purposes?

The Russians fail to comprehend just how intensely their murders and other violence towards people in Central Europe has caused modern Central Europeans to greatly fear the Russians. The current War in Ukraine has only made this Fear worse. Putin’s concerns over Russia future security have become self-fulfilling by his own aggressive Murderous and violent War he started in Ukraine. It’s important for folks that start Wars to remember that they don’t get to choose when it ends or what the limits of scope may be.

In that same time frame Russia has invaded Prussia, Crimea, Georgia, and the Ottoman Empire (twice) under Catherine the Great, Georgia again under Czar Paul, Hungary, Armenia, and Finland under Alexander I, The North Caucasus under three different czars, Moldavia and Wallachia, the Ottoman Empire and Hungary again under Nicholas I, Poland in 1863 under Alexander II, the Balkans and the Caucasus a decade later, Austria-Hungary in WWI, the Baltic states between 1918 and 1920, Georgia again in 1921, Poland again between 1919 and 1921, Azerbaijan and Armenia in 1920, China in 1929, Afghanistan in 1930, Chechnya in 1932, Poland again in 1939, Finland in 1939, the Baltic States again in 1940, Manchuria in 1945, Hungary in 1956, Czechoslovakia in 1968, Afghanistan in 1979, Georgia again in 1991, North Ossetia in 1992, Chechnya again in 1994 and 1999, Dagestan in 1999, Georgia again in 2008, Dagestan again in 2009, and Ukraine multiple times between 2014 and now. I apologize if I missed any.
