Putin addressed the World Economic Forum in 2021.

Crimea is overwhelmingly ethnic Russian and if they had a vote would go over to Russia.

That’s not true for Ukraine.

You're not the first to wonder about the narrative. This thread got nearly 300 posts. People tried to Zot it but even Jim Robinson was commenting. If you can read past the highly charged comments you may find answers to some of your questions.

These are the people who want you to hate Russia

In case you’re skeptical that a Chechen might end up the top guy, have a look at this guy’s bio:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruslan_Khasbulatov

He came within a hair’s breadth of replacing Yeltsin. That Putin has an Islamist version of Khasbulatov as his right-hand man isn’t confidence-inspiring, unless you’re a Muslim.

The U.S. isn’t really backing either side yet are they?

Thread deleted by Twitter because it is "objectively false" information of US bio-labs in Ukraine/other locations.

Yes. All the ethnic Greeks are pretty much gone and replaced.

Hi ShadowAce.

Good essay. It'll draw you a bunch of flak, but that's what the forum is about, so no sweat on that account. I largely agree with your assessment -- we shouldn't be backing either side, it's not our circus, and not our monkeys -- with one glaring exception.

Ukraine is completely corrupt. Think back a couple years, and we all knew that the Bidens and a host of other corrupt US politicians and oligarchs had and still have their fingers deep in Ukrainian pies.

Meaning that there are powerful US interests tied up in Ukraine, thereby making it somewhat our circus and monkeys, against our will. It's a steaming mess.

I work with some software contractors based in western parts of Ukraine, and they're outstanding technical people, and rather nice to work with. They're pretty freaked out about all this, planning to pick up and run like hell if the fighting moves much farther west; or alternatively, lay down their laptops and pick up a rifle. I don't envy their position.

We constantly movk the left for their Trump Derangement Syndrome, which amounts to reflexively opposing anything just because Donald Trump supports it. If Trump says the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, the left will say the opposite simply because they refuse to be on the same side of Trump on any issue.

We are now seeing the exact same thing among some self-described conservatives except in reverse. If anyone on the left is in favor of something, we automatically should take the opposite position no matter how ridiculous it may be. And that's how we end up with some "conservatives" rooting for the restoration of the Soviet Union.

Here’s the biggest problem with NATO, Turkey.

What is to stop Turkey from going rogue and starting things up with Russia, thus dragging NATO into the fight.

Erdogan is an evil man. He’s been patiently biding his time to step up, but Putin is in the way of his aspirations of rebuilding The Ottoman Empire. What better way to get a war started to cripple Russia, then allow Turkey to become the big dog and start threatening Europe, with millions of Muslim footsoldiers already embedded all over Europe.

Biden and Obama are huge supporters of Obama, and it certainly seems like Putin wanted Biden to win.

Yeah, the ChiComs know it for sure.

Our government runs biowar programs all over the world … imagine Marshall telling FDR that the Manhattan project should be run out of Spain?

A tiny sliver of the self-dealing that funneled money into Putin’s pockets instead of the general welfare. He makes Biden look like an honest man:

There is a huge amount of noise about a thousand different things, but after all of the arguments and anger and propaganda, the most important facts in my opinion are these:

Ukraine is a country of 40 million people. They want to exist as their own country. They don't want to be ruled by Moscow as they were in Soviet times.

On the other hand, Putin believes three countries, Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, representing historically the Great Russians, the Belarussians and the Little Russians, should be combined into a new great Russian empire.

Professor Putin explained this to the entire world in a televised address just several days ago, giving us all an extensive discourse on the history of the Russian peoples. And he concluded from his own perspective on history that Ukraine should not be considered a real country.

If you missed his address, find it online and listen to it.

The vast majority of Ukrainians disagree with him and do believe they are and want to be their own country and decide their own future themselves. And it appears that the future they want is to join the EU and achieve the kind of prosperity and enjoy the kind of freedoms their neighbor Poland has achieved for themselves and their children.

There is a lot of talk about what corrupt oligarchs have done in Ukraine, and slimy globalists, and sleazy selfish opportunist political families, and neo-Nazis and Russian nationalists battling over Donbass and on and on.

And a lot of that is true, yes some is just propaganda, but a lot of it is true.

But we can't allow ourselves to mistake the parasites for the organism. The 40 million people of Ukraine are the organism. The globalists and oligarchs and so on are the parasites. The organism is more important than the parasites.

Whatever Putin may or may not have been 20 years ago, today he is a Russo-fascist and neo-Stalinist, who is arresting thousands of people merely for daring to protest peacefully in disagreement with his decision to conquer Ukraine and deny them self-government.

That doesn't mean the US should go to war with Russia over Ukraine. But which side is more in the right? Ukraine is more in the right than Putin.

Seriously? Chosen by Putin and his cronies

I believe that you are correct in both your assessments. The United States, egged on by the media is backing the wrong side. The NWO is working on taking him out. They will succeed too. The only question remaining to be answered is how long will it will take.

This same media, when ordered, will turn on Conservatives, whipping the emotions of the masses into a white hot frenzy of hatred towards Conservatives. But Conservatives have guns so everything will be o.k. there. Of course, they had guns in 2020 but the Republicans executed a Coup. Replaced the individual they elected with a Lying Bastard , shredded the Constitution. And not a peep was uttered. In fact, Most pretended nothing had happened. It was business as usual. A few Patriots voiced their concerns and the Uni Party consisting of Republicans and Democrats ensconced them on trumped up and false charges in the Washington, D.C. jail. Where they are being subjected to untold mental torture[s]. Except for one young Lady, whom they callously and deliberately murdered in cold blood.

There is no “right” side. There are only various degrees of “wrong”.

Know Islam, no peace.

The English and French should have joined with Russia back in the day and destroyed the Turk rather than help them.
