NHL player agent Dan Milstein, who represents a majority of the Russian-born players in the league, told ESPN his clients are experiencing "disturbing levels" of harassment and believes draft-eligible players are already being discriminated against because of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
"The discrimination and racism these Russian and Belarusian players are facing right now is remarkable," Milstein told ESPN in an interview on Tuesday. "We're being set back 30 years. I have players calling me, parents calling me. They're concerned whether they'll be able to play, whether they'll be safe."
Milstein, who was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, immigrated in the United States in 1991 at age 16 as a political refugee. He is now a U.S. citizen and represents more than 75% of the NHL's Russian- and Belarusian-born players, including Tampa Bay Lightning stars Nikita Kucherov and Andrei Vasilevskiy and New York Islanders goalie Ilya Sorokin.

And why don’t I care? Because the more pressure Putin feels from his own people the more likely it will be that he’s ousted or he creates such a mess in Russia that all of this has to stop.
I don’t remember the far left haters in this country dishing this kind of sh*t to the Muzzies after 911. WTF.
I don’t remember the far left haters in this country dishing this line of sh*t to the illegals after their invasion of America.
Why are the bastards picking on the Russki hockey players?
They are white and most likely Christians.
We’ll need more shots to continue this trend…. /s
Me too tupid to be sarcastic…
No Russian dressing in our stores and restaurants!
Screw the Reuben!

FWIW, Putin is a thug. No one is questioning that. But Ukraine was a former province in the Russian Empire. What can we do about that?
The United Nations is the proper place to "condemn" Putin and Russia for their "uncivilized" behavior. But outside the UN building in NYC, it should be business as usual. President Obrador is right. Why should he condemn the Russians when it does not really impact the lives of typical Mexican citizens?
Maybe the rest of the world should be more like Mexico. For everyone else who sympathize with Ukraine, they can renounce citizenship of their respective nations, acquire Ukrainian citzenship and risk their lives fighting Putin and everything he stands for right there at the battlefield in Ukraine.
In terms of race, Russians and Belarusians are the same as Ukrainians.
LOL! Well played.
But Ukraine was a former province in the Russian Empire.
And Kuwait was indeed a province of Iraq.
I don’t like Putin, but we can thank him for killing Covid . . .
OH HELL NO!
I lubs me a good Reuben. Heck, here it is late, here, and you’re making me HONGRY!
I may have to stop at an Arby’s tomorrow. We have a bit of a drive, and they have a pretty good Reuben for fast food.
Yeah, I saw some of that too. No surprise, really, but it is still sickening.
As for these players, I guess they need to decide whether very publicly coming out against Putin’s invasion and risking a little Polonium dusting is worth it or not.
Well, aside from simple decency, for one thing Obrador could support the gradual wrecking of Russia’s petro exports and Mexico could mop up with the profits from being one of the replacements.
I wouldn't risk it, especially if I have family still living in Russia. If they ask me, "I'll just say I came to America to play hockey and that's what I am going to do."
That’s life.
Actually, I would happily agree, if expenses were paid and financial support to my family given, to go into the next negotiating session on behalf of Ukraine and present a list of demands starting with full reparations.
Seriously.
Hell, I’ve had a pretty good life. It’d be worth the looks on the Russki’s faces, even if I didn’t make it out.
Granted that I’m an old guy. Younger might see it differently.
And there’s that
