Our Bonneville had no cassette player, no FM radio and no AC. Just a plain old AM radio. When we hit Oklahoma, dad always played songs like this and we kids groaned.
But you got to ride in a '60s Bonneville! I groaned when my father played the Liza Minelli and Frank Sinatra 8-Tracks in the '72 Impala,but now that I have matured, my tastes have broadened to appreciate the non-Rock music of that era and earlier.

My tastes have broadened just like you say. There was so much good music in that era.
I learned to drive in that Land Yacht! After that, I could drive anything.

A friend of mine had one right after we got out of high school around 1978, at the height of the second energy crisis. Cost a fortune to keep the tank filled.
