I like to remember this day every year, and think of the Russian doctors who escaped with their lives from the coming fake “Doctors’ Plot” planned by the old serial killer himself.

Doctor’s plot was the last Stalin purge. The accused were tortured and fake confessions extracted. Apparently, it was supposed to be followed by deportations and killing of most Soviet Jews.
What’s interesting, that the one who died from it was comrade Stalin himself!
Apparently, all doctors were scared to death that they might be included on the list of the accused. So everybody was scared to even touch him. Instead of quickly treating Stalin, they called endless meetings and discussions. By the time, they reach any conclusions, it was too late.
