It would not surprise me if the Russian Army did not use subjects drafted from Central Asia to fight the Ukrainians. The Soviets used non-Slavic soldiers to suppress rebellions in white nations, e.g. Hungary in 1956. It’s an old tactic: the Romans sent legions from remote parts of the Empire or outlying countries to crush rebellions. So Sarmatians were sent to Britain, and Germans to North Africa.
That's why Putin is using Chechens. If he declines the cease fire, he will probably use the Chechens as shock troops once they go in the city limits of Kyiv.
