Stop playing tough guy, Mr. Arm Chair warrior. I heard the announcement of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan on my father’s shortwave at age 3. I’ve been aware of geopolitics since that time. I too feared nuclear war, watched the Wall come down and the developments since. I watched the Gulf War live on TV and wave after wave of aircraft and missiles over my childhood home in Saudi Arabia.
This entire Ukraine situation is a product of American mishandling of foreign policy post 1991. It was easily predictable at least since the taking of Crimea, and even before that. You cannot arm a country protruding into the heart of Russia and not expect a violent reaction. You cannot overthrow a government with a manipulated “colour revolution” and then play the good guy. This is a situation of both the West’s AND Russia’s AND Ukraine’s making. I want Ukraine to win but not nuclear war, and I have no illusions that America and NATO are innocent in this.
From my phone I’m unable to post for you a picture of a bunny with a pancake on it’s head.
I owe you one.
