Casualty total so far of a few thousand don’t indicate that there is any heavy fighting. They have a way to go to match Bosnia or Chechen 2 with on the order of 50,000 killed total for each war. Commentators moaning about how this is the worst war in Europe since WW II seem to have forgotten those wars.
However, the Russians also seem to have forgotten everything they learned in Grozny.
That’s typical of the press every day is Groundhog Day (the Bill Murray movie!). They forget what they had for breakfast. All they know is stand in front of the camera look good & read what’s presented to them. The print media are just too lazy to do any research ( or maybe its edited out!).
