In all the clarity, I must have missed your advocacy of arming up. My humblest apologies.
I am the last to criticize a given individual’s approach to preparation for crises & upheavals - provided that individual is honest: that they are putting forth a personal conclusion. They are not stating facts.
It is folly to hark back to the tactics of Texans in 1836. Unless, perhaps, we were to find ourselves defending our lives & homes with flintlocks.

It seems folly to rely on AR15s and cases upon cases of ammo when artillery tech is not really cutting edge. Besides, drone tech has already been effectively weaponized.
Arm yourself to the extent needed for survival, but plan to be mobile. Everything valuable will be overrun.
